How to create a dump file on Task Manager

If you have a problem while using an application program, you may create a dump file storing the information on the process and send it to the app's developer. It would be greatly helpful to the developer diagnosing and fixing the problem.

Create a dump file on Task Manager as follows:

  1. Open Task Manager when the problem occurs on the app, for example, when the app displays an error message or becomes not responding.
  2. From the process list of Task Manger, right-click the app where the problem occurs and select the Create dump file.

  3. The created dump file usually has a very large file size. Compress the dump file and send the file to the app's developer by email, wit the description of when and how the problem occurs.
